Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences (MGPGI) Hospital is located at Gorimedu in front of JIPMER Hospital at the entrance of Pondicherry.

Doctors / Nurses / Infrastructure

The hospital has a total of 190 dental chairs and working units, VIP Chamber with 3 dental units and chairs and 50 beds for indoor patient service at Medical, Surgery and Emergency Wards.
There are 70 doctors inclusive of Faculty members and Junior Residents and 50 Nurses and paramedical staff.

Admission

B.D.S. Course: 125 Students are admitted from this year to the B.D.S. course, of which 51 are from the Union Territory of Puducherry. The admissions to these seats are made on UG NEET merit basis by the CENTAC, Pondicherry.
M.D.S. Course : 19 Students are admitted from this year to M.D.S. courses, of which 50% seats from the UT of Puducherry. The admission to these seats are made on NEET-MDS merit basis by the CENTAC, Pondicherry.
