Mr. Revanth, CRRI of MGPGI,
received the cash prize and certificate for winner from the
Hon'ble Chief Minister of Puducherry at the state
legislative assembly on 10/01/2021. He was awarded the
5th place in the State Level Quiz Competition on HIV/AIDS, TB
and COVID-19 pandemic awareness organized by Pondicherry
AIDS Control society.
The BDS students have participated
in the Paper presentation, Poster presentation, Symposium and Quiz
program in the National UG Seminar on Oral Medicine & Radiology
organized by Indian Academy of Oral Medicine & Radiology held at
Sri Ramachandra Dental College and Hospital, Porur, Chennai.
Best Paper prize awarded to
the Interns Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim, Ms. Ayesha and III BDS
Mr. Abishek Ghosh ; Best Poster prize awarded to the
Interns Ms. Miliya and Ms. Parameshwari ; Best Symposium prize
awarded to the III BDS Ms. Soundarya, Ms. Sunantha, Ms.
Keerthana and Ms. Gayathri.
The students organized the Teacher’s Day Programme.
N.S.S. ACTIVITIES.
(i) The
NSS, MGPGI Unit conducted a Blood Donation Camp along with
Department of Transfusion Medicine, JIPMER at the MGPGI Premises. There was an overwhelming turn out of volunteers
for the camp from the students, teaching and non-teaching faculty
of the institution. All volunteers were screened and eligible
volunteers donated blood. A total of 66 units of blood from the
volunteers were collected.
 
(ii) The MGPGI Unit
of NSS had
undertaken Tree Plantation in the Institution premises. A total of 45 tree saplings have been
planted at different locations on campus.
